Emergency Communications Center

Fort Carson's Emergency Communications Center (ECC) is the nerve center for emergencies occurring on Fort Carson and the Pinon Canon Maneuver Site (PCMS). The center also processes some calls for service for areas outside of Fort Carson's boundaries.

The ECC is able to process both voice and text-to-911 calls. The staff of 16 personnel processes over 5,100 911 calls, 49,000 incoming non-emergency calls and 16,000 outgoing administrative calls per year. Dispatchers work with a robust Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system to track calls for service and emergency responders. They are also operate state-of-the-art technology capable of immediately interfacing with local, state and federal agencies.
