The existing attitude of the Recreation Visual Zone varies between the different recreation areas, but the overall attitude is very similar.

• Relaxation.

• Gathering.

• Community.

5.3.5.1.2 Elements

Recreational Visual Zone

The following is a list of elements that can be found in or are used extensively throughout this visual zone.

• Covered outdoor spaces.

• Pitched roofs.

• Exposed structural members.

• Rustic materials.

• Bleachers.

• Sport fields.

5.3.5.1.3 Materials

Recreational Visual Zone

The materials used in this visual zone shall correlate with the Visual Theme that is set for the type of facility in question.

Materials shall coordinate with those established in the different recreation locations across the installation.

Where possible, material selection should be guided by the LEED™ rating system and by the requirements necessary to attain the relevant LEED™ credits.  See Appendix D and Appendix E.
