8.11 Contaminated Areas

When building facilities are newly designed, renovated, demolished, de-constructed, or upgraded, Fort Carson has an Asbestos, Lead Base Paint (LBP), Radon, and PCB Management Program that must be followed.

Abatement activities/plans shall be reviewed and approved by DECAM.  Waste generated shall be disposed of in a manner which complies with CFR 61 Sub M. and waste manifest shall be submitted to DECAM for incorporation with project data.

After project completion, a copy of all documents regarding ACM, LBP, PCBs, and radon shall be furnished to DECAM records.  Points of contact for these programs are found in Appendix B.
