8.14 Interior Design

8.14.1 Introduction

Professional interior designers should design Inhabited spaces that require the selection of furnishings or equipment. Interior design impacts the functioning and productivity of people. People spend the majority of their time inside, working, eating, sleeping, and relaxing. The productivity, comfort, and safety of the personnel living, working, or relaxing in the facilities they inhabit is directly related to the quality of interior design provided within the facility. Interior design is required on building construction and renovation projects regardless of the funding source.

All projects must have the interior finishes reviewed by the DPW.
