Zeroscaping is a low maintenance method that can be used where appropriate to conserve water.  Zeroscaping at Fort Carson usually consists of rocks used as a groundcover with a few sparse plants integrated in strategic locations.  The Fort Carson Landscaping Master Plan uses Zeroscaping in certain areas on the Installation.  Xeriscape however, is a more preferred approach to landscaping in the Cantonment Area.
