11.4.7.13 Signage Containing Commercial Advertising

Signs containing commercial advertising are restricted on Fort Carson, as follows:

  • Private firms which sponsor individual events on Fort Carson will be permitted to place appropriate sponsorship signs to advertise the event. Such signs must be attractively presented, and be put in place no sooner than two weeks prior to the event. All such advertising will be removed within three days following the end of the event.

  • Private firms authorized (i.e., by a lease) to display goods or items on Fort Carson will be permitted to install an advertising sign adjacent to such goods or items. This sign may remain in place only during the approved period of the lease, and will be removed when the lease terminates.  Such signs will be professional in nature, and be mounted in the ground on metal or wooden posts.

  • Signs containing commercial advertising will be allowed to be affixed to outfield fences at ball fields on Fort Carson, similar to what is seen off-post. No signs are permitted on the backstops. All signs will be professionally made and appropriately affixed to the fencing.

  • Under no circumstances will signs containing commercial advertising be allowed to be placed on the perimeter boundary fence of the installation, including on the fence vicinity the B Street off ramp. Such signs are unapproved and, when observed, will be immediately removed.
