11.4.7.2 Reserved Parking
11.4.7.2.1 General
The Garrison Commander is the approving authority for reserved parking on Fort Carson. In no case will reserved parking that is approved exceed 10% of the total available parking in any given parking lot or area, regardless of the type of facility supported, unless a written waiver is obtained from the Garrison Commander, IAW FC Reg 210-4. The amount of reserved parking at Fort Carson is necessarily controlled because, when parking is reserved, it is often unused for much of the time, as it is restricted for use by authorized or designated personnel only. Accordingly, the following guidance is provided:

Commanders and 1SG/CSM of a military unit company-level and above are authorized to have reserved parking.
Deputy Commanders of BDE level units are also authorized.
Directors and Deputies at true Directorates (two people per
directorate) are authorized reserved parking spaces. No other unit personnel are authorized reserved parking, including those in detachments, teams, etc.
-
Military units are authorized to request that a limited number of reserved parking spaces be designated for unit-assigned government vehicles. Reserved parking will only be approved for those military vehicles that are driven on a routine basis, and thus need to be provided conveniently located parking.

Where three (3) or more reserved spaces of a similar type are designated in a row, signs on each end of such a row of parking, with arrows pointing inward, are to be used. Reserved parking signs which support such rows of similar parking will be modified to add an appropriate arrow under the type of reserved parking designated on the sign(s).
-
No reserved parking will be provided for general administrative military and civilian staff members, i.e., section/office supervisors, administrative assistants, and military aides.
11.4.7.2.2 Customer Type Facilities
For customer support type facilities, appropriate blocks of reserved parking spaces may be designated for use by patrons/visitors to the facility if first approved by the Garrison Commander. Reserved parking signs should be authorized based on a reasonable expectancy of regular use.
- See Fort Carson Regulation 210-4 for more details.
