11.4.9 Reduce Visual Clutter
Over-signing detracts from a uniform sign system and, if left uncontrolled, will eventually destroy the integrity of the system. Clutter creates confusion and ineffectiveness. Clutter can be in evidence both by having an excessive number of signs in a given area, as well as by putting excessive wording on individual signs. |
