11.5.14 Fixture Types

Typical fixture mounting options include single mount, double mount, and four-lamp mount.  Seven basic fixture types shall be used, all of which are metal.

  • Fixture F-1 shall be a rounded or oval type, arm mounted away from the pole, and may be made either of aluminum or galvanized steel.  Where aluminum is used, the finish shall be mill finish aluminum.  Where galvanized steel is used, the fixture shall be painted colors as required in these guidelines.  Galvanized fixtures that have not been painted shall not be permitted.

  • Fixture F-2 shall be a round type, mounted symmetrically at the top of the pole.  This fixture shall be aluminum with a mill finish. This fixture shall exactly match the size, style, and general appearance of pole mounted pedestrian-related fixtures currently located in many areas of the intsallation.

  • Fixture F-3 shall be a square or rectangular type, arm mounted close to the top of the pole. This fixture shall be aluminum with a dark bronze anodized finish or painted galvanized steel.

  • Fixture F-4 shall be a square bollard made of aluminum with a dark bronze finish.

  • Fixture F-5 shall be a square or rectangular shape, mounted on an angled arm at the top of the pole.  This fixture shall be aluminum with a mill finish.

  • Fixture F-6 shall be a design variation of fixture Type F-2 such that two fixtures are mounted at opposite sides of one pole. These fixtures shall be mill finish aluminum, and all design characteristics shall exactly match fixture Type F-2.

  • Fixture F-7 shall be a square or rectangular shape, arm-mounted or flush mounted, and shall be dark bronze anodized aluminum finish.
