11.5.8 Cut Off Lighting

Cutoff lighting refers to the fixtures that utilize screens, shields, or other such devices to keep the light focused downward toward the ground or the area being lit.  This prevents light pollution and concentrates the light where it is needed. These types of fixtures should be standard throughout the installation to comply with Night Sky Initiatives.
