CSM Brian M. Stall
On 16 November 2011, Brian M. Stall became the Command Sergeant Major for the 4th Infantry Division and Fort Carson. Prior to this posting, he served as the United States Army Training Center and Fort Jackson CSM from October 2008 to November 2011. Before USATC&FJ, he served as the 2nd Infantry Division CSM from November 2006 to September 2008.
Other prior assignments include service with the 75th Ranger Regiment, the Ranger Training Brigade, the 82nd Airborne Division, the 25th Infantry Division, and the 101st Airborne Division.
Additional leadership positions include Battalion Legal NCO, Regimental Legal NCO, Light Leaders Course Instructor, Long Range Surveillance Team Leader, Ranger Instructor, Rifle Platoon Sergeant, Rifle Platoon Leader, Rifle Company Executive Officer, Battalion Operations NCOIC, Rifle Company First Sergeant, Headquarters and Headquarters Company First Sergeant, Brigade Operations SGM, Battalion CSM, and Brigade CSM.
CSM Stall entered the Army in February 1984; attended Basic Training at Fort Knox, Kentucky and received Advanced Individual Training at Fort Benjamin Harrison, Indiana. He is a graduate of the Primary Leadership Development Course, the Basic and Advanced Noncommissioned Officer Courses for Infantrymen, the Sergeants Major Academy, and the Army’s Force Management Course.
His significant awards and decorations include the Legion of Merit (1OLC), Bronze Star (1OLC), Meritorious Service Medal (4OLC), Army Commendation Medal (4OLC), Army Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal (w/Bronze Star), Kosovo Campaign Medal (w/2 x Bronze Stars), Iraq Campaign Medal (w/4 x Bronze Stars), Ranger Tab, Expert and Combat Infantryman Badges, Master Parachutist Badge, and Air Assault Badge.
