Announcement: Fort Carson Legal Assistance Office will be changing its walk-in procedures effective 02 July 2012. Clients may now sign in for a walk-in appointment beginning at 8:30 A.M. on Monday and Thursday. If walk-in appointment slots are still available when a client signs in, he or she will be instructed to return at 12:45 P.M. Our attorneys will begin seeing clients at 1:00 P.M. This will reduce the total waiting time for the client and eliminate having to wait without a guaranteed appointment slot. If you have any questions concerning the new policy, please contact the Legal Assistance Office. Thank you for your patience during this transition.
The Fort Carson Legal Assistance Office is available to all soldiers, dependents, and retirees. Services include preparation of wills, powers of attorney, name changes, and step-child adoptions. The office also offers advice in a wide range of legal areas including, but limited to: landlord/tenant, military administrative, tax, family law, and consumer law.
The office is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Appointments are scheduled by calling on the last duty day of the week at 9:00 A.M. Walk-in appointments are available on Monday and Thursday starting at 1:00 P.M. with sign-up beginning at 08:30 A.M. The Legal Assistance Office offers a divorce/separation video briefing followed by a general question and answer session on Monday and Wednesday at 9:30 A.M. and Thursday at 2:00 P.M.
