Welcome to Fort Carson

Congratulations on your assignment to Fort Carson and the 4th Infantry Division. We are the “Family First” Division! I am sure you will find your assignment to be challenging yet professionally and personally rewarding. I would like to extend to you and your Family a hearty Colorado welcome.

The Division’s mission is “To train, deploy and sustain brigade units of action; on order, conduct decisive full-spectrum combat operations in order to accomplish Combatant Commander Objectives.”

Again, congratulations on your assignment to Fort Carson – “Best Hometown in the Army – Home of America’s Best.” In addition to the welcome letter, you should have received “The Fort Carson Frequently Asked Questions” from your Unit Sponsorship Coordinator. I hope this document is useful as you plan your move to Colorado. The Sponsorship Coordinator will assign you a sponsor of your equivalent rank from the unit you are assigned to in the near future.

Incoming Soldiers who have not received a Sponsorship letter or Welcome Packet from their gaining unit of assignment should contact the Fort Carson Sponsorship Program by one of the following methods:
