On 16 October 2003 -  J. A. Jones Construction completed and turned over the 841st house bringing to a close the first phase of Fort Carson Family Housing's development plan. Ongoing efforts include the Renovation Project .Phase II new construction and, continual improvement projects are continuing throughout the footprint. 

3 December 2003 GMH Military Housing-Fort Carson LLC announced the successful acquisition of the military family housing division of J. A. Jones for $170 million. 

GMH Military Housing will partner with FW Military Housing LLC, an entity associated with Keystone, Inc., for the Carson, Eustis and Story projects and assume the overall operations for the three projects. The acquisition includes the family housing of Fort Carson located in Colorado Springs. With current FCFH management and operations personnel remaining in place, the transition to GMH Military Housing has been "business as usual".
