Army Family Action Plan

The Army Family Action Plan (AFAP) is input from the people of the Army to Army leadership. It's a process that lets Soldiers and families say what is working and what is not, and what they think will fix it. It alerts commanders and Army leaders to areas of concern that need their attention, and gives them the opportunity to quickly put plans into place to work toward resolving the issues. Fort Carson holds an annual AFAP Conference every November. Those issues that cannot be resolved at a local level are sent to MACOM and HQDA. One of the AFAP success stories is: Servicemembers' Group Life Insurance increased from $50,000 to $400,000. To find out more information on AFAP or if you would like to participate, call 719.526.4590 or go to http://community.carson.army.mil/ACS/programs_AFAP.html
