Website Creation and Review
Graphic representation of the Fort Carson website hompageAs required by AR 360-1, the Public Affairs Office is the reviewing office for all postings on the Fort Carson web site. Organizations requiring a new web site, additions, or changes to existing web sites must submit a Remedy request through their IMO or through the Customer Service Center (CSC) in order to have the website reviewed.

How do I get a web site for my unit or organization?

The Network Enterprise Center (NEC) Web Services can assist in the creation of web pages for organizations.

Here's what you need to do:

1. You must submit a Remedy request through your organization's IMO, or through the Customer Service Center (CSC).

2. Organizations are required to designate a webmaster to manage their website and an OPSEC Officer to maintain an appropriate operations security review. Those designees are required to take the Web Content & OPSEC Introduction Module at https://iatraining.us.army.mil.

3. The Remedy ticket will be assigned to the appropriate NEC Web Master for posting once the pages have been approved.

4. Posting is accomplished by the The Network Enterprise Center (NEC) WebServices section and not the PAO. Web Services also maintains the Fort Carson Web site and the related hardware.

Copies of current Army and Department of Defense Web policies can be obtained at
www.army.mil/ciog6/webmaster_policy.html.

Post Guide and Fort Carson History Book

The Command Information section oversees the publication of the Post Guide & the History Book. The Network Enterprise Center (NEC) is responsible for the publication of the telephone directory portion, which is included in the Post Guide that is provided to incoming Soldiers & civilian employees.

NEC maintains an online version of the telephone directory on the Fort Carson Web site at
http://public.carson.army.mil/sites/services/fctds/default.aspx

The Web version of the Post Guide is located on the publisher’s Web site,
http://www.mybaseguide.com/base/army/ft-carson.

Incoming personnel should request a copy of the Post Guide prior to arrival through the sponsorship program. Arriving personnel who have not gotten a previous copy may pick one up at the Welcome & Farewell Center when they check in.

The Public Affairs Office does not handle the distribution of these books nor does this office stock any. The Post Guide is updated yearly and is currently printed under a Civilian Enterprise contract. The Public Affairs Office does not handle advertising or advertising rates.
