Q: How do I know what zone I'm in?
A: Zones are based on Total Active Federal Service. Alpha zone is 17
months to 6 years. Bravo Zone is 6 years to 10 years. Charlie zone is 10
years to 14 years. If you fall right on 6 or 10 years you get the zone that
you have not yet received before moving to the next zone.
Q: What are the IN/OUT calls.
A: IN/OUT calls show what the Army is tracking on your mos and rank on
strength. For example, if you have an N and Y then you are in a over
strength MOS that, as of now, can't relocate Per AR 601-280 Table
E-4(Overseas Assignment Reenlistment Option) and E-5(CONUS Station-of-Choice
Reenlistment Option).
N/N = Balanced Y/N = Under Strength N/Y = Over Strength
