Biography
Command Sergeant Major Edison Matthew Rebuck joined the Army in 1989 on the delayed entry program. He attended One Station Unit Training at Fort Knox, Kentucky in September of 1989. His first duty assignment was with 1st Cavalry Division where he deployed to Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm, Intrinsic Action, and multiple National Training Center and Joint Readiness Training Center rotations. Rebuck has been stationed in Schweinfurt and Baumholder Germany; Fort Riley, Kansas; Fort Knox, Kentucky; Schofield Barracks, Hawaii; and El Paso, Texas. His deployments include Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, the Balkans, Hungary and in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He has held every leadership position from squad leader to Battalion Command Sergeant Major for the Buffaloes, 4th Battalion, 17th Infantry Regiment, 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division at Fort Bliss, Texas. Rebuck?s awards include the Bronze Star Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal with three Oak Leaf Clusters, and the Army Commendation Medal with ten Oak Leaf Clusters. He is a member of the Sergeant Audie Murphy Club, a recipient of the Aubrey Newman Award and the Order of Saint George.
