Biography

COL Bruce P. Antonia was commissioned as an Infantry Second Lieutenant in 1989 upon graduation from the United States Military Academy. He is a graduate of the Infantry Officer Basic Course, Infantry Officer Advanced Course, the Naval College of Command and Staff, and the United States Army War College.

COL Antonia's most recently served as the Brigade Commander of the 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division at Ft. Polk, Louisiana where he commanded from June 2009 to October 2011 and deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom from October 2010 to October 2011. He has also served as the Battalion Commander of 5th Battalion, 20th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Stryker Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division at Ft. Lewis, Washington where he deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom 06-08. He was also a Battalion Operations Officer and Executive Officer in the 2nd Battalion, 3rd Infantry Regiment, 3rd Stryker Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division at Ft. Lewis, Washington. COL Antonia served as an S4 and Rifle Company Commander in the 1st Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment at Hunter Army Airfield, Georgia and was also a Rifle Company Commander in 3rd Battalion, 22nd Infantry Regiment and Light Infantry Training Company Commander in the 25th Infantry Division (Light) in Hawaii. COL Antonia was a Rifle Platoon Leader, Scout Platoon Leader, and Headquarters Company Executive Officer in the 1st Battalion, 6th Infantry Regiment, 1st Armored Division (Mechanized), United States Army Europe.

COL Antonia's decorations include the Bronze Star Medal (with V-device and 2OLC), Purple Heart, Meritorious Service Medal (4OLC), Ranger Tab, Senior Parachutist Badge, Air Assault Badge, Combat Infantry Badge, and the Expert Infantryman Badge.
