Warrior Leader Course

A native of Kimball, Nebraska, CSM Alflen entered military service in February 1982 and attended Basic Combat Training at Fort Dix, New Jersey, then Advanced Individual Training at Fort Gordon, Georgia.

CSM Alflen's previous assignments include CSM of the 2/135th GSAB; Operations SGM, COARNG, JFHQ-CO; 1SG, E Company, 2/135th Aviation Brigade, 1SG, Task Force Warhawk, and Senior Operations NCO, 2/135th Aviation BN. CSM Alflen has also served in every key leadership position in the field of Aviation Operations and Repair.

CSM Alflen is a 2005 graduate of the United States Army Sergeant's Major Academy and has completed every level of the Noncommissioned Officer Education System. CSM Alflen has also completed numerous military courses in the field of Aviation. CSM Alflen is currently completing a Bachelors Degree in Information Technology from Aurora College.

CSM Alflen's significant awards include the Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal (2OLC), Army Achievement Medal (2OLC), Good Conduct Medal (7th Award), the Iraqi Campaign Medal, Global War on Terror Service Medal, the Combat Action Badge and the Master Aviation Badge.
